Catalan traditions on Christmas

It's Christmas time, the coldest season of the year and my favourite to. In Catalonia we have more than two weeks to celebrate Christmas, but Christmas Catalan traditions are very different than the others.

Here we beat a trunk with sticks and finally the trunk give us presents. This tradition is called "Caga el Tió", and we celabrate at 24th of December, Christmas Eve. I celabrate this two times: one with my father's family and the other with my mother's familiy. We can't celabrate at the same day because there isn't time, so we celabrate with my mum's family at 23rd. With my mum's family we make the "invisible friend" that consists it consits in give a present to someone that you have assignate in anonimate. It has to include a clue to identificate who had given us the present. It's very cool.

I love Christmas because all the family can stay together, but the most incredible thing are the dinners and lunches. They are dellicious.

The History of Gothic

The History of Gothic

1) Ghotic novels were invented by Horace Walpole, with his 1764 novel The Castle of Otranto. 

2) Omen, portent, necromancer, scorcerer, clancking metals, choler, incense, wrath, grief, dismal.

3) Imperial Gothic refears to late 1800 set in the British empirament on English India. It's an adaptation of the normal Gothic, and it plays with the mind of the public making them imagine that they are controled by tirans and reciving a lot of pain and punish.
4) He was an American writer, poet, and literary critic. He was the creator of the scary storys. He was born in 19th January of 1809 in Boston. He was famous because he wrote poems and short stories about mystery and macabre things. He is considered the inventorn of gothic.
5) He got married to his 13-year cousin. But she died 2 years later for tuberculosis.
6) Nobody knows how he died, but the experts think that it's by the fault of alcohol and drugs.
7)The most famous novels are: the black cat, the raven, never more, the casc of Amontillado...
8) His nick name is The Master of suspense.
9) His most famous film was Psycho.
10) He showed us that diverse cinematic could be transformed into a powerade storytelling. But most gratest legacy are his films, that it will continue beeing most watched of the world.
11) The comic relief it's a sequence to lower the tension. When in the film is happening something scary, that you know that the sequence is going to scare you, it appears a another sequence that makes you laugh and forget the scare. We can find comic reliefs in all the scary movies.

MY WORLD 3

Basketball time

My favourite sport is basketball. I play since I was seven years old. I play in L'escala, a team in l'Alt Empordà. I love my team, whe have a nice conection with everybody. My coach name is Dolfo, he is short and lame. We are in the second league (B), on the 4th place. Today I am going to play with Fontajau here, in L'escala. We are ten players from 14 and 15 years old.

We have to strive a lot to win this match because this is one of the most difficult matches.

Subject: my Irish expirience

Hi mum,

I write this emal to tell how is it going here. Now, I am living with an Irish family that lives in the center of Dublin. I that house, there are an Irish woman married to a Scotish man. I have a younger brother that is eleven years old. I am feeling very good with them. I am studying English in a school that is called Saint James'School. I study five hours of English every day. In my freetime I play the piano every day. I also go for a walk with a new friend, Isogay. He is Japanese. We always eat sandwiches. I am here since 8th of August. I have to make the most of my time here. Thanks for making this trip possible.

Horror Context

The necromancer

Last night was October 31, the day that souls of death bodys return to the human world. I was afraid. A scorcerer was chasing me. I was runing aniwhere. Finally I found an old dismal castle. I was tired. There was clanking chains on my mind. Mournfully the necromancer was behind me sighing. I was so tired and I could not scape anywhere. I just heard what he said: "Today is the magic day, the day that you will learn the magic of necromancers.

MY FAVOURITE HORROR FILM

The Da Vinci Code

My favourite horror film is The Da Vinci Code. It's an American mystery and thriller film based on Dan Brown's book. It isn't a scary movie but because I'm a person that I don't like horror, this film frightens me a lot.

The story is about an University professor expert on religious symbology called Robert Langdon that it is the first suspect  in the murder of  Louvre curator. Around the dead body, he and the groundaugther of the curator find a secret message that bring them on a new adventure.

One of the main characters is Robert Langdon, who is an expert decoding religious symbology. Thanks to his intelligence, he resolved the mistery. The woman that goes with the protagonist is the last heir of the Grial.

The man that wants to kill the protagonists is a massive radical religous.

My favourite part of the film is when the main characters find the santuari of Maria Magdalen in the end of the film. It's the moment when they find the answer of the Da Vinci Code.

I think that it is one of the best history thriller movies. It's the first film of the triology. I recomend to all the people that likes thriller movies.

MY WORLD 2

My favourite Autumn hobby

We are on Autumn, the season of the year that cold begins to come, the leaves of the trees falls and the mushrooms grow. One of my favourite things is to walk in the mountine and if you combine with Autumn things it appears my favourite Autumn hobby, catching mushrooms. 

There are a lot of kind of mushrooms that yoc can identify by the color and the form. Most of them are dangerous, but there are many that are delicious. My favourite mushroom is the rustlet, but I also like "camasecs", "russinyols", "ceps"... My favourite mushroom palte is beef with mushrooms.

This Saturday morning I when to catch mushrooms in Camprodon with my father and my grandfather. We found three baskets of rustlets and also a "cep". Four days ago it rains a lot and most of the rustlets were swallowed. I had a great time with them!

According the results of the test I am a mole. 

Moles are small animals that live in the ground. 

These animals are observant, introsepective and pessimistic. I agree these results because I am like them. Most of the jobs that moles can be good are: enginer, song writer, grave digger, musician...

I don't like these jobs, I prefer diferent jobs. The famous people that are like a mole are: John Lennon and Bob Dylan, famous musicians that fought for peace and equality.

Multiple Intelligences test

According tomy results my top key intelligences are:
1. Naturalist: The nature is one of the things that I like more but I don't like the jobs that nature englobes, like gardener, geologist...
2. Logical/Mathematical: I think that in a future I could be a scientist or a mathematician.
3. Visual Spatial: I think that in a future I colud be an enginyer, but not an architect because I don't like drawing.

MY HERO

Stephen Hawking

My hero is Stephen Hawking, an english phisical with a disability. He had ALS, an ilness that affect all the cells from the nervous system. I admire himbecause with having an ilness, he made one of the most important discoverings.

He lived in Oxford, the place that he went to the University. He studied phisics. During the last years, he descovered that there are more univers, but in a limit number. He affirmed that the Univers have a beging, and an end. He descovered that the end of the Univers it will be for the fault of a black hall.

I think that we can learn a lot of things of this man because he discovered a lot of things having a disability. That's why I think that it's so worthless.

MY WORLD 1

Atack on titan

During the last weeks, I spent a lot of time watching an anime. This serie it's called Atack on titan (Shingeki No Kyojin) and it's a film based on a book. This book is written by Hajime Ysayama. This serie is about a country that it is surrounded by 3 walls. This walls protect all the cities from massive atacks of titans. Titans are big humans from more than 3 meters that don't have intelligence and just eat humans. At one day, Shiganshina, the last city of the country, get an atack of the titans and all the city was shattered. Eren, the protagonist, servive the atack with his fake sister, but his parents were bitten by the Titans. Eren hurried that he would kill all the titans.

It's a great story and it is very intriguing to. I recomend to all the publics less the people that don't like blood.

My Biggest Dream

My Biggest Dream

One of my biggest dreams is to dive  in The Great Barrier Reef. I love marine animals and also the snorkel. I dived just a time so I will have to practise more.

To meet this dream I will have to travel to Australia and sale to The Great Barrier Reef. It's necessary to buy or rent a wetsuit, a diver bottle , a goggles... I will not want to dive with a teacher, I prefer alone. To accomplish this, I will take the title to be able at dive alone. The animals that I will want to see are sharks, octopus and corals.

In a futur, if I have enough money I will travel to Australia to furfill this dream.

Biography

Nathan Smith

Nathan Smith is  a modern jazz musician and a professional saxophonist. He was bornon 6th of July 1992 in Manchester, son of Michaell Smith and Josephine Smith. He studied in Saint James school . When he was 16 he left the studies. He worked at PePe'S Café, a jazz bar. One day he talked to Pepe (Pepe's café boss), to make a saxophon concert. A lot of people came to the bar and he bacame famous. The most popular song is GRRRR Tiger. He recived the jazz music award in 2012. Now he is working on a disc with James Anthony.

My Bucket List

The things that I want to do before I kick the bucket are:

1.  Be rich and have a great job.
2. Work in a big company as the boss.
3. Have an octopus as a pet in an aquarium.
4. Visit Japan.
5. Visit the Mayan Riviera.
6. Have a second house in the mountains.
7. Dive in The Great Barrier Reef.
8. Have a yacht to travel by the sea.
9. Be a healthy man.
10. Have an orchard.
